Frequently asked questions
The important details about the service, before you order.
What am I actually paying for?
You are paying us to research used-part suppliers for the part you need. You are not buying the physical part from us. We send you the Supplier Matches in a completed report, and you buy directly from the supplier you choose.
Why would I pay for this instead of searching myself?
We save you the work of searching many used-part listings and calling salvage yards one by one. We use your vehicle and part details, remove repeat listings, and put useful supplier information in one report.
What is a VIN?
VIN stands for Vehicle Identification Number. It is the 17-character number that identifies your exact vehicle. You can usually find it on the driver-side dashboard near the windshield, on the driver-door label, your registration, or your insurance card.
Do I need my VIN?
No. You can place an order without it. A VIN can help identify the right vehicle application when the same vehicle uses more than one configuration of a part.
What is a vehicle application?
It is the exact configuration of the requested part that fits your vehicle. Applications may differ by engine, transmission, radio, axle, body style, option code, or another detail. If choices appear, select the matching description. If you do not know, choose Not sure and add any details you have.
What does Closest Suppliers mean?
This search priority emphasizes matching supplier listings near the ZIP code you entered.
What does Lowest Advertised Price mean?
This search priority emphasizes matching listings with the lowest advertised prices we find.
What does Lowest Listed Mileage mean?
For mileage-relevant assemblies, this Search Priority emphasizes Supplier Matches showing the lowest listed mileage.
What does Best Available Condition mean?
For parts where mileage is not a useful comparison, we look for the strongest available condition, testing, and warranty evidence reported by suppliers.
How many supplier matches will I get?
Basic costs $10 and includes one applicable search priority with up to 3 unique supplier matches. Expanded costs $20 and includes two applicable priorities with up to 6 unique matches. Complete costs $30 and includes all applicable priorities with up to 9 unique matches. The number you receive depends on available matching inventory.
What if the same listing shows up in two searches?
We do not count the same listing twice. When possible, we move to another matching supplier so your report includes more unique Supplier Matches.
What if you cannot find the part?
We send a No Matching Inventory Found report showing that the search was completed. Used-part inventory changes often, but a matching listing is not guaranteed.
When can I order?
Anytime. The website accepts orders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Research is normally performed from 8 AM–8 PM Central, Monday–Saturday.
Can I call in an order?
No. Orders and support are handled through the website and email. This keeps your vehicle and part details written down and connected to your order.
Are search fees refundable?
No. The one-time search fee is final and non-refundable after payment is completed, including when fewer Supplier Matches or no matching listings are found. We may correct an accidental duplicate charge or payment-processing error.
Do you guarantee the part?
No. The supplier sells the physical part. Before buying, ask the supplier to confirm that the part is still available and matches your vehicle. Also confirm its condition, mileage, included items, full price, warranty, shipping, returns, and restocking fees.
